When you sign up for or use Garbage Drop services, we may collect:
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number
- Service address: street address, city, ZIP code
- Billing information: processed securely by Square — we never see or store your full card number
- Service photos: photos taken by our workers at your property as proof of service completion
- Communication records: emails, chat interactions, and (when the SMS feature is active) text messages with our support team
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve our service:
- Scheduling and completing your curbside bin service
- Sending email service notifications and confirmations
- Sending service completion confirmations and photo proof via email (and via SMS when that feature is active — see Section 4)
- Processing payments through Square
- Responding to support requests and account questions
- Sending important account or service updates
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We share limited information only with the following service providers, strictly to operate our business:
- Square: payment processing
- Resend: transactional email delivery
- Cloudflare: website hosting, email routing, and security
- Telnyx: SMS text-message delivery (currently inactive — carrier registration in progress)
Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and data protection practices. We do not authorize them to use your data for any purpose beyond delivering services to us.
4. SMS Text Messages
Current status: SMS notifications are paused as of April 2026 while we complete carrier registration. No automated text messages are being sent. Service-day confirmations and photo proof are delivered by email instead. The terms below describe how SMS will operate once the feature is reactivated; we will notify you when SMS resumes.
By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive automated SMS text messages from Garbage Drop related to your service, including completion notifications, photo proof links, delay alerts, and account updates — once the SMS feature is active. Until then, your phone number is used only for service issues that may require us to reach you directly.
- Opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.
- Help: Reply HELP or email support@garbagedrop.net.
- Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by service schedule (typically 1–2 per service day).
- Your phone number is never shared with third parties for marketing.
5. Service Photos
When our workers complete a service stop, they may photograph your bins and property as proof of service. These photos are:
- Stored securely on Cloudflare's infrastructure
- Shared with you via email as proof of service (and via SMS when the SMS feature is active)
- Accessible to our internal team for quality assurance
- Not shared publicly or sold to third parties
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you cancel your subscription, we may retain certain records (such as billing history) for up to 3 years for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at support@garbagedrop.net.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure cloud storage, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP
- Update your contact information through your account portal

10. Changes to This Policy
